In The Press
I came across two copies of The Maidenhead Advertiser today in my stuff at Mum's house. They were both dated December 19th 1985, and at first I couldn't work out why I would have kept them. Then at the bottom of page 17 I found this little article on The Majority, our legendary band named after a song by The Alarm. This article proves that we played Live Aid! What it doesn't say is that the gig at the Five Horseshoes was the highest grossing gig there of 1985, well in terms of bar takings anyway... We got our fee based on the amount taken behind the bar, so we went away with £20 that night! Coming up for 32 years ago, it surely must be time for a reunion?
