| The Saxon Maze |
The Saxon Maze is situated in the grounds of The Herb Farm at Sonning Common outside Reading. I never even knew of its existence until today when I met up with Steve Clark for the new charity book I am doing. Steve was diagnosed with bowel cancer in May 2013, and he is doing some fantastic fundraising for Beating Bowel Cancer with his Strive For Five campaign. The maze was created in 1991, and its design is based on a Saxon sea creature. Steve said it took him an hour to successfully navigate his way around the maze, so I didn't try and attempt it today... 😊
