| View From Faringdon |
This is the view from the Oxfordshire village of Faringdon northwards towards my sister's village of Alvescot, and then beyond to Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds. Faringdon is also the place where I received, and I think, my only yellow card in my adult football career. I had already achieved the unique distinction of being the first player to be sent off for Maidenhead Boys (I think we were called that then having started as Maidenhead Town & Youth) in my younger days. Needless to say in both instances I still believe the referee was wrong 😀
