Over the weekend I learnt of the desperately sad news that Deborah James passed away last Thursday. I met her just the once, which was quite recently in May for the new fundraising book I am doing, but we had been friends on social media for about a couple of years. She was so upbeat and positive and determined to not let bowel cancer rule her life. More importantly she was an incredibly kind and lovely person with just the most infectious laugh. She was just 37 years old when taken by this awful illness. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.
