St Roche's Hill |
A lovely Sunday close to Chichester spent with old primary school friends David Beattie and Graham Higgins, and their families. After a lovely lunch we enjoyed a trip out and spectacular views today from St Roche's Hill, which is also home to The Trundle Iron Age hill fort. Views of Goodwood Racecourse, The South Downs, Chichester and Portsmouth. There is a circular walk, so you get to see it all as you walk round. Prince absolutely loved it, and I had to get him into the photo. This particular shot has Portsmouth in the distance and of course the English Channel. The weather changed every couple of minutes, and we experienced sun and rain in repeating cycles with an ever present brisk wind. Quite exhilarating.
